Can you score that well at will, even if your opponent is playing poorly? In some sense, doesn't good play in Le Havre by one player make it possible for his/her opponent to also score high?
Not sure. It might depend on just how poor the opposition is. The only times I've seen over 300 in a 3-player game were in cases where one experienced player was playing two relatively new players. Average scores were still in the 250 range as usual, but skewed heavily toward the winner.
