Not bad.
Small "Really Useful Boxes" are also perfect.

Michaels have some really useful things, you just need to think outside of the box, sometimes. Plus, those coupons don't hurt either. :D

I think if you're going to do this analysis you need to add the number of actions that each scenario takes:

1) 4 coals - 1 action
4 coals - 1 action
4 coals - 1 action
Cokery - 1 action
---
Ship it all on 3 ships: 55 points + 12 points for cokery:
67 points 5 actions: 13.4 points per action

2) 4 coals
Cokery
3 Iron
3 Iron
Convert to steel (Now 2 coal, 6 steel)
---
Ship it all: 5 + 48 + 4 = 57 points in 6 actions.
Now add 5 extra cows for shipping = 72 points in 6 actions
9.5 points per action with no cows
12 points per action assuming no cost for extra cow.

3) More efficient hybrid between the two options
4 coals
4 coals
Cokery
3 Iron
3 Iron
Convert to steel (Now 6 coal, 6 steel)

Ship it all: 73 points + 8 points for coke = 81 points in 7 actions, no cows.
11.6 points per action, no cows.

Note that all of this assumes 11 items shipping at once (One wood, two iron ships would do this).

Anyway, its all pretty clear: when it comes to shipping, coke beats steel. Not to take away from the awesomeness that is steel for other things (Like building ships or buildings)

The repeat actions can't be done in the sequence you've laid out. The only way is to own/sell/buy which costs money and presumes that you are unblocked.

Don't forget, coal/coke is not the only form of energy. Wood/Charcoal when available in large quantities can also be used.

Thanks for the tip. Apple really needs to do something to make the app store more usable.
