Thread: Le Havre:: Rules:: Shipping line card questions

Must I own a ship (wooden or better) before being able to use the Shipping Line card? I see no evidence of this written anywhere in the rules nor on the threads, but it was brought up during my last play. (No, right?)

Is there a limit to how many of the "same type" and/or "different" resources can be shipped using the Shipping Line card's (full ship) rule? i.e.: 10 Cokes, 1 clay, 4 wheat, and 2 hides may all be shipped together? All of the above for a 3 in energy cost! (No limit, right?) I think Puerto Rico shipping is the reasoning for this question.

Once I own my own ships, I may trade resources via the Shipping Line. Now depending on the type of ship I own I can ship different quantities per turn or per round? Must my worker be placed on the ship? To ship goods in this manner will save me the energy cost of 3/ per usage. If another player's worker is sitting on the Shipping Line card at the moment I wish to use my own boat to make a shipment, does this prevent me from making a shipment or have any impact? (No, irrelevant right!) What if the Shipping Line hasn't been built yet?

Perhaps these are silly questions but they are my silly questions and I'm proud of them! shake
