I don't know if it is stated in the rule book, but usually when someone's worker is ejected from a building, they are just given back to the player, not placed in another building.
Dive bar causes tokens that are "sent home" to instead go to the dive bar. In this case, the worker is not given back to the player.
These are expansion buildings, I suppose I should've posted this question over there. I figured I'd get more more views if I posted in the base game forum though (seems that there's far more traffic here).
