If you’re looking for a modern VP Euro where all paths are equal - even if that means superannuated wooden ships somehow can compete with new steel ones - then you’re not going to like LH.
So no, it definitely isn’t ‘broken’, just something new gamers aren’t familiar with. You see, back in the olden days (a decade ago) a good Euro was expected to present the players with difficult, sometimes even impossible decisions. They were what’s known as ‘hard.’
