We like a number of more complex games so are not adverse to this, just not in this case.

Your collection shows a mix of recent, no-interaction, mid-weight point salad Euros and a lot of lighter fare. The oldest euro you have is a late Feld, and he’s the guy who started this whole “plenty of mechanisms for everyone” multiple mini-games mess.

From your review you make it clear that you’re offended by the very idea of adversity in a game, and you and your partner never made the leap that you might use that built-in adversity as a weapon against your opponent.

As someone who writes a fair number of negative reviews myself, I know that if I can save someone from purchasing something flawed by clearly stating the problem, a review is worth it, but when I dislike something because of my preferences and not because of flaws, there’s no point in facing off with the game’s owners/subscribers.

LeHavre is definitely not for you. You made that conclusion. Trying to pin blame on the game was never going to gain traction here.
