Hello fellow gamers! Harvey Cornell here from Dragon Phoenix Games.
>>>>> We were very excited to be mentioned in The Geek Weekly this past week! <<<<<
Pardon my enthusiasm!. Back to business. As promised, we are releasing our Above and Below co-op adaptation.
Our Above and Below co-op is a two player game. The objective of the game is for each player to obtain a certain amount of goods before the end of the game. It plays pretty much the same as the base game except for some changes to accommodate the fact that victory points are not important. Reputation is probably even more important than in the base game and a good balance of exploring and building is essential.
Well, without further ado, here is the Above and Below Co-op adaptation!

We continue getting input about games you all would like to see us convert. We appreciate all the interest and support. We are hard at work converting more games. In fact, two suggestions we got since the last blog has prompted some new development. An adaptation for Valeria Card Kingdoms was developed and the first test went extremely well. An adaptation for Trajan was developed that looks very promising and we hope to start testing it soon. We also made strides in our adaptations for Dominion, Agricola, and Race for the Galaxy.
Based on voting and feedback we have received, the top requests at this point are:
Viticulture
Dominion
Patchwork
Century: Spice Road
Machi Koro
Splendor
Race for the Galaxy
Lords of Waterdeep
So we plan on releasing Viticulture next. At this point the adaptation will only be for Viticulture, but we plan to go back at some point and consider making sure it works with Tuscany. The order of the upcoming releases may change based on your input.
Here is the current list of other games that we have co-ops ready for or are working on and we could push ahead to get them ready if we get enough requests.
Ready except for video:
Bruges
Tzolk’in
Rise of Augustus

In all, there are four new games on this list, including our most recent acquisition, Tiny Epic Quest. I am sure we will want to make a co-op for that one. Anyone out there interested?
A note about including X-COM on this list. I know it was already a co-op game. I was a big fan of the computer game back in the 90s and also enjoyed the remake and sequel a few years back. I got this game hoping to get some of that experience. I am not much of a fan of games that are timed in some way and makes me rush and I also wanted a game that was not dependent on an app (never know when it will not be available to me for some reason or the other). More importantly, I felt the board game had strayed farther from the computer game than I liked. Don't get me wrong, Fantasy Flight but a lot of work into this game and I appreciate their efforts. I am glad I own it. But I redesigned the game to not use an app and to play much more like the video game. It is playable, but needs a little polish. If there is very much interest, I will get it on the schedule to be released along with the others we are adapting.
Keep giving us feedback. We love it!
Excelsior!
(Oops, that was Stan Lee's line)
Co-operate on!
Hmmm. Nope. Gonna have to come up with something better. For now ...
Game ho!
