Agree with this. LeHavre is more open ended than the other games you mention, so it may not be apparent what you should be doing over the course of the game. I recommend that players try to ship goods at the end of the game twice or, maybe, three times. With that goal in mind it may focus your actions during the game. Once you do that, you'll see other opportunities for VP in the game on subsequent plays. Enjoy!
